We're very proud of our choices in females and take great care in choosing the a herd sire who will best improve the quality of fleece for the next generation.
CHECK OUT THE INVENTORY!
To that end, 2007 was quite a busy year with 6 additions to our herd. Only Misty and Amelia were bred for Spring '08 deliveries; Abby and Mandisa are due in the Fall of '08. The others have been kept open until we make more room (by selling a few). Plus, many of our girls are related, so we need to add to our bloodlines.
Our SALES LIST includes package deals as well as individual pricing. We hate to give up anyone, but we also know that any of these alpacas will make a strong contribution to a gray or black breeding program.
We'll consider offers on any member of our herd, so call us at 301.977.4487 and we'll be glad to talk alpacas with you.

BLUEGENES' Sally Gray
Dam: Ameripaca's Jonquil
Sire: Ameripaca's Poseidon
SOLD! AND... WINNING LIKE CRAZY IN THE RING!
Congratulations to Doug and Denise Caldwell of A.L. Paca's Farms! At just 7 months, Sally was the Reserve Gray Color Champion at the Futurity and she recently won Gray Color Champion at PAOBA.
We are SO very proud, and we wish Doug & Denise continued success in the ring.
The combination of Sally's dam's (Jonquil) fine fleece and her sire's (Poseidon) density, crimp and typey look were a perfect match. Think we'll repeat that breeding??
DUH ;-)

MY FAIR LADY "Lady"
Dam: unknown
Sire: uknown
An import, Lady delivers on time and passes her density, crimp and coverage to all her cria. The oldest in our herd, her offspring are some of our best including banner winner, Amelia Bedelia and soon-to-be herd sire Henry Higgins. March 9th she gave birth to an outstanding light fawn who has poorly expressed 'tuxedo' markings. That's great news because it tells us he might throw a tuxedo grey! Wouldn't that be grand? His name is Princeton and you'll find him in our herd sire list.

AMELIA BEDELIA
Dam: My Fair Lady
Sire: Shaquille
A Shaquille daughter, retired from the show ring after 3 blue ribbons, 3 red ribbons and 1 color champion banner, Amelia continues to win first place in both fleece and spin-off competitions. Her first born, Cecilia Bedelia, is almost a yearling. The sire is Silver Legend of KPR (winner of 7 consecutive banners). Cecilia is a gorgeous tuxedo'd silver gray who's just like her mom in personality, presence and curiosity. Her fleece is nothing short of yummy!! Amelia is due in May 2008 and we're definitely excited about this upcoming event.

BLUEGENES' CECILIA BEDELIA
Dam: BlueGenes' Amelia Bedelia
Sire: Silver Legend of KPR
Cecilia comes from outstanding genetics! Her sire is 7-time consecutive Color Champion, Silver Legend of KPR and her dam is our own Banner winner, Amelia Bedelia (out of Shaquille). Together they have more than 25 ribbons and banners! Cecilia has simply stunning fleece, with brightness and very consistent crimp from top knot to tail. She is a classic tuxedo grey and we couldn't be more proud of the first born from our first born!

A PACA FUN FARM'S SILVER MIST "Misty"
Dam: My Fair Lady
Sire: Vox Excalibur
This is the face that got us into the alpaca business! Misty has density, crimp and coverage. She is the proud mom of BlueGenes' Blackbari (TB) -- a real doll, with exceptional coverage and staple length. Misty is currently open and for sale for $18,000; Blackbari is also for sale at $18,000. If you buy both, we will discount the price to $30,000.

BLUEGENES' BLACKBARI
Dam: Silver Mist
Sire: Peruvian Black Hawk's Iguazu
Blackbari is a true, almost blue-black, with bright fleece that has long, dense staple and nubbly crimp at the base. Her conformation is picture-perfect and her personality is gentle and inquisitive. Her award-winning sire is full Peruvian. She's ready to breed now and her price will remain the same once bred! We're gray breeders, and need room for our fall cria, so we're willing to let her go for $15,000.

BLUEGENES' IVY
Dam: Ameripaca's Bonnie Belle
Sire: A Paca Fun's Ivanhoe
Ivy is a true black out of 2 grays (go figure!) and a sweetheart. She has a gentle temperament but is lively and playful. With excellent conformation and good crimp architecture we're hoping she's inherited the luscious long staple of her sire, Ivanhoe. Ivy is priced at $12,000.00

A.L. PACA’S ROSIE "Rosie"
Dam: Lakshmi
Sire: Mr. Magee
Rosie gave us a wonderful Gunnison male cria in May '07 who we've named Smudge. He has long, bright staple and a sweet personality, just like his mom. Rosie is a great mom who’s produced two other terrific Gunnison cria with "fleece to die for." We're looking for more silver gray offspring when we breed her this spring!

BLUEGENES' BOBBY SOCKS "Bobby"
Dam: Ameripaca's Bonnie Belle
Sire: Dark Shaddow
A Dark Shaddow daughter, (Reserve Herd Sire of the Year) Bobby has extremely bright, fine fleece and great conformation. We're looking for the perfect match - to compliment her fineness, and we think we've finally found just the right herd sire. Bobby is our best pronker, and very sweet and gentle natured. At this price, she is truly a steal!

|
BLUEGENES' ABRACADABRA "Abby"
Dam: Ameripaca's Jonquil
Sire: AABC Navigator
Abby is a black female (out of Jonquil and AABC’s Navigator). She lives up to her sire’s reputation with crimpy, dense fleece and long staple. Abby was bred this past Fall to a stunning gray herd sire and we're looking forward to an outstanding cria in '08. Hopefully gray, but either way, we predict it will have crimpy, fine fleece.

|
AMERIPACA'S JONQUIL "Jonnie"
Dam: HCL Bolivian Jasmine (Full Bolivian)
Sire: Ameripaca's Prairie Legend
Jonquil's fleece has won first or second place ribbons in every show it has been entered. Perhaps genes from her sire, Prairie Legend, have a little something to do with that. Dam to Color Chamion, BlueGenes' Sally Gray, and BlueGenes' Abracadabra, Jonquil will be re-bred this spring to Poseidon.
